What bit us?

Workout day 49, @postaday 30, #postaday2011

For the record, yesterday I counted my walk to Koko Head School and back as my workout. Today it’s some yoga stretches. Convalescing, but doing a little to keep it loose. Love my new flat tummy. John says it won’t last. Weight loss as a result of being sick doesn’t count, if you ask him (I didn’t! Did you?).

He’s cranky today. Probably because all three of his Benderettes are hacking like TB ward inpatients. It’s no fun. I’m debating whether any of us should return to civilization tomorrow. I’m eager to get back to work. We never know exactly how these germs find us but we always have our suspicions. And I feel guilty about the people I talked with at work Thursday, without really knowing I was so sick. I slept 15 hours that night. That’s like nearly four nights of my regular sleeping pattern (which should change, no doubt!)!

At least the girls didn’t get a fever like I did. Both of them had long days yesterday and are worn out. So early to bed tonight and hopefully they’ll be good to go tomorrow.

Right now Sophie is editing video on her computer and Charlotte is writing a book report on hers. John is on the floor with his Droid. Don’t tell anyone, but I’m pretty sure that with the way he’s holding it and moving his hands he’s playing Angry Birds! Buahahahaaaa! It was free last weekend so I got it on the iPad and the iPhone and let me tell you I loathe that game. So stupid. Eat pork. Better yet, eat pork chop loco moco gravy all over.

We got a second mortgage on the house today after I found the cheapest slab of salmon possible at Costco at $8.99 a pound. $24 and change. Gah! I also got some fresh pineapple spears. Heck if I’m going to wrestle with a whole pineapple. I’m gonna grill the salmon and have grilled pineapple salsa on the side; grilled new potatoes, too. That should make for a nice meal. All on my new varoom-varoom Weber grill out there. It’s so wonderful!
