Early to Bed, Early to Rise

@postaday 352; postaday2011.

I did manini #5kin100days week 11, #3 today, which includes a 15-min warmup, five 8-minute runs interspersed with 1-minute walks, followed by a 5-minute cool-down walk.

If you live in Hawaii Kai and were out from 3:30-5p.m. this afternoon perhaps you saw me on Lunalilo Home Road, Kalanianaole Highway or Keahole Steeet. Perhaps you saw me running in the side-ways, sheeting, whiteout of a rain storm as I approached the Koko Marina Bridge. I kept thinking how I didn’t even care, I just wanted to say I was done.

And when I got through, I had done 5.11 miles at a 14:09 pace. I am getting faster. I’m amazed that this person running is ME! WTPho? ME? ME?

Tmrw I will be cheering my friends on as they do the Honolulu Marathon. Thats why we’re going to bed early. Best wishes to John and my friends, good weather, and sure footing to you all. Maybe I’ll do it too someday.

You know what I always say? Never say never. I expect I will always want to do things that surprise me. Who’s game?

Sweet dreams…

Luv,
me.
