Just a thought

@postaday 163; #postaday2011.

When it comes to recalling memories, it all boils down to a few events in our lives. I’ve got memories of  walking across hot, soft sand, watching crabs dance sideways across sandbars; of bad sunburns, peeling noses, skinned knees and bee stings.

There were the breathless moments of infatuation, adoration, and unrequited love that left me forlorn and lonely in my bedroom wondering what it was like to get love back.

And now that I am older,  I now know that a full life is not one that had nonstop excitement or joy, but an ordinary life punctuated with kind words, gracious smiles and sincere eye contact that planted within me a seed of worth and confidence.

Just something I was thinking about tonight.
