Hot, glassy, voggy day. Perfect conditions for a kick-ass ride along Oahu’s South-East side with John, aka @AlohaJohn.

Because I’m still full of phlegm, we didn’t tackle any hills. Instead, we did the East Oahu valleys to Diamond Head and back. I passed a couple of guys.
The first guy immediately went into testosterone deficit disorder when I politely said, “On your left,” so not to startle him. Whoa. Poor guy got out of the saddle to catch me. Eventually he turned off. John said he couldn’t sustain keeping up with me. I was sassy. I realized what was going on, so when he turned onto a side street, I said, “See ya later GIRLFRIEND!” I’ve never done that before, but most of the guys I’ve passed never acted like their manhood was minimized by a girl on a bike!
It wasn’t like I was preying on hapless, slow men today, but, with John as my co-rider, I kept encountering them! The last guy I passed was very strong, but he was all over the lane and I was getting tired of following someone who thinks the best way from point A to point B is the entire alphabet in between. As you can see from my stats, I worked quite hard today. A butt-kicking ride in the wild is so satisfying. I feel awesome right now! And my lungs feel a lot better! These rides really clean out the gunk!
Did you have a good ride or a good workout today? Whatcha do?
