What do you THINK I’ve been up to?

Busy, busy, busy. But for me it’s not a good idea to let the writing bug lie dormant. Must flex the fingers, get the brain synapses popping, wax poetic on my observations of life. And that would be mostly work.

Hi John! *** Waving frantically at my husband.

This week I moved to a new office within my organization and I brought my work load with me. That work load needs to be assessed and so my job is to be fluid, forward thinking and flexible. Although I must admit I get frantic flashes when the phone rings and it’s an inquisitive executive who deserves answers. It’s all part of the process toward efficiency.

You might have noticed my lack of social media activity. You might be wondering why I’m not flooding your Twitter stream or your Facebook home page with spot-on musings. Kinda miss that, dontcha? I have to admit, there have been withdrawals, but I haven’t rolled into a fetal position and I haven’t had to work through cold sweats because I haven’t been out there. I’m doing alright, ya know?

Job movement is pretty exciting. I am getting to learn more processes, getting to fall into step with the corporate culture, getting to help shape the messages. Am I a perfect fit? I don’t think so. I’m a quirky fit. I bring something to the table that’s relatively off beat. I’ll be helping with all sorts of corporate communications, bringing my flavor to the message, keeping it between the lines on most of them. Look for the odder fodder here, LOL.

It’s like being on a tight rope. No one step is sure. It demands concentration and balance. I like the challenges. I hope I continue to get them tossed my way as I gain traction at work and throughout my life.
